Bridal Shower Food – Salads

Salad bar for bridal shower food

A classic Green Salad is a standby for a reason. Everyone loves it and it's so versatile.

  • Choose your greens – I prefer a mix of Romaine and Baby Spinach
  • Add your veggies – celery, carrots, cucumber, avocado, purple cabbage, etc.
  • Garnish with edible blossoms like nasturtiums or violets
  • Serve with your favorite dressing like ranch or Brianna's Blush Wine Vinaigrette {my personal fave}

Southwest Quinoa Salad

Or you can get a little spicy with this Southwest Quinoa Salad to keep it interesting.

  • White quinoa cooked in vegetable broth & tossed with a little taco seasoning
  • Corn
  • Black beans
  • Red bell pepper
  • Green onions
  • Avocado
  • Fresh cilantro
  • Chili-lime dressing

Mediterranean Pasta Salad

A good pasta salad is nice to have since it's filling and delicious. Plus a small amount of pasta seems to grow into an enormous bowl of salad! We took a Mediterranean twist on the pasta with:

  • Penne
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Kalamata olives
  • Feta Cheese
  • Red onion
  • Toss with Newman's Own Light Balsamic {Another fave}

Fancy Party Sandwiches

Chicken salad croissants for Bridal shower food

Regular sandwiches aren't going to cut it for a shower. You need something a little more fancy. Think tea sandwiches, or croissants.

Chicken salad croissants are my go to for any baby shower, bridal shower, wedding, or adult birthday. I prefer to use mini croissants as they're easier to serve but large croissants cut in half work well too.

You can get my Mom's most requested chicken salad recipe HERE. She's always the one in charge of making it for our family gatherings but I've been able to reproduce it in a pinch!

Bridal Shower Dessert Ideas

Put together a pretty dessert display with these lovely, but simple to make, treats.

Fruit Platter

Who doesn't love fruit!? Fruit trays are great item to assign someone else to bring as the cutting can be time consuming and it's hard to not look beautiful with all that gorgeous color. Fruit also makes a nice, healthy sweet treat.

Fresh Peach Sugar Cookie Tart

Peach Tarts for Bridal Shower Food

Peach tarts are another absolutely delicious and gorgeous treat. Using store bought sugar cookies will cut down on prep time but if you have a favorite cookie recipe, by all means, go for it! You can get the topping recipe here: Peach Sugar Cookie Tart Recipe

I HIGHLY recommend these. I'm not much of a cookie girl but I can eat a lot of these! 🤫 🤣

Fancy Chocolate Bites

Choc strawberries and brownie bites for Bridal shower food

Chocolate covered strawberries are another must have for a bridal shower! AND one that's also great to assign to a talented friend. or in my case, cousin! They're a little time consuming so if you're planning to make them yourself to it the day before.

Raspberry brownie bites are super easy if you purchase the brownies and simply adorn them the day of the event. Plus the raspberry and chocolate combination is a crowd favorite. You can get the easy details at How to Dress up Store Bought Brownie Bites

French Macarons

Macarons for Bridal Shower

French macarons are an elegant and delicious dessert option but they can get expensive. I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the packages of frozen macarons from Trader Joe's and embellishing them a bit too. See how easy it is at How To Decorate Macarons With Gold

Bridal Shower Cake

I love having a cake as the centerpiece for my food tables. A simple naked cake with fresh or faux blooms on top is perfect. This “love” acrylic topper is similar.
