Bridal Shower Planning
When one of your favorite people in the world gets married, you offer to host a Bridal Shower! With an August shower we were still feeling the summer time vibes and a floral theme suited the event perfectly. “Love in Bloom” is such fun theme and tag line to weave into all aspects of the design.
Bridal Shower Backdrop Tablecloth
If you have a large white wall – perfect. Start there. If not, you'll have to get creative like I did. We chose to set up inside the front entry to capture photos of guests as they arrived.
Without a large wall to work with I set up a backdrop stand in front of my staircase and used this very large white tablecloth to hang. I love this large heavy duty backdrop stand and use it all the time but I just purchased this one with flat bases and it'll be nice to not have to decorate around the tripod base. I'll have to keep you posted on how it goes…
You can see the cloth is pooling on the ground in the photo – that's just so it was low enough for me to work with. After everything was installed I raised it up so the hem of the cloth just brushed the floor.
I also use the large clips it comes with to keep it in place on the bar. If you angle the clips to point straight out the back you only see a very small bit of the orange tip and those are easily covered by balloons, flowers, or an additional white drape over the top.
Bridal Backdrop Floral Curtain
I purchased this floral curtain at Hobby Lobby a couple seasons ago but you can find something very similar on Amazon here. Simply use fishing line to hang over the back. I used the large clips at the top to hang from.
Bridal Shower Floral Backdrop Decor
Once your floral curtain is hung you'll want to add garlands and other greenery to mask the rod a bit and give it a little more visual weight on top.
I chose this soft lambs ear garland that's 6′ long and draped it across the top.
Then tuck in a few faux seeded eucalyptus picks to fill it in and add some nice variety and texture.
Bridal Shower Photo Ready
To finish off the bridal shower photobooth, add a sign to the top – rolls of packing tape works pretty well to stick to the tablecloth. And throw in a fun diamond ring balloon as a fun prop ready for the party.
Sign is available in the SHOP along with the rest of the “Love in Bloom” Bridal Shower collection.
