Pretty Pastel Nutcracker Ballet Party Ideas
One of my dearest friends has a December birthday, and it's tough. There's so much going on with the holidays that birthdays can be overshadowed, if not completely overlooked! I love the idea of utilizing existing holiday decor to play double duty for your party which is why a Pretty Pastel Nutcracker Ballet Party is such a great idea this time of year. Pink Christmas decor is on the rise and trending hard at the moment. I've got a HUGE list of Pastel Nutcracker Ballet Party Sources for you today that will make party planning that much easier.

Nutcracker Ballet Party Invitation
I'm loving this Nutcracker Ballet invitation set we just added to the HalfpintPartyDesign Etsy shop! It's got a back design, thank you card, and envelope design and liner pattern. It takes a few more minutes to finish the invites when we print the envelopes but if you have less than a dozen invites the upgrade is SO worth it. Here's a little peek at the whole set. **A full party decor package is also available upon request.**
Nutcracker Ballet Party Decor
After the invites, you know that the decor is my FAVORITE part of planning any occasion! There are so many great ways to tie in a Ballet party that it doesn't all have to be specifically Nutcracker themed. Your little ballerina will be thrilled to dance her way through this party!
Gorgeous pink and gold party fans make for a stunning backdrop behind a food table, cake table, or photobooth. Easy to assemble, install, and store…party fans {or rosettes} are quickly becoming a staple in my party supply closet {ahem} basement.
This vintage pastel mini banner makes a wonderful addition to a pastel nutcracker ballet party! In non-traditional Christmas colors this set can also be used throughout the year.
A tutu table skirt is a must for any ballet party! If you've got time to DIY, here's a fabulous tutorial by Simply Create Designs found on Catch My Party. If you're running out of time, you can purchase different sizes in different colors from BaileyHadaParty on Etsy. If you're incorporating a pastel Nutcracker ballet Christmas tree a tutu tree skirt is another great party design element.
I'm also kind of in love with the entire Meri Meri “The Ballet” and “Little Dancer” collections! This ballet banner from Rim Rim Flower is so sweet with little tufts of tulle on each ballerina! You can find my top picks from Amazon here:

These huge balloons from The Happy Elf Shop are awesome. Not so pastel but really really cool. The ballerina would make a wonderful photo op and the nutcracker would happily greet guests at you front door.
And I know what you're thinking….another garland? Don't we already have two banners listed above? Yes. Yes we do, but hear me out. There' always some sort of “ugly” that needs to be hidden and garlands are great for misdirection. Plus this light pink tassel garland just screams ballet and would be so sweet layered with either one {or both} of the banners. Layering is a great way to bring in additional color and texture to add interest to you backdrop, front door, entryway, or birthday girl's bedroom.
Nutcracker Ballet Party Activities
If you're having a party you need more than cake for a memorable experience! Having a photo booth with fun props is always a hit with young and old alike. Loving this Nutcracker photo prop set from Jojo Digital Store.
What birthday party is complete without a piñata!? Try this ballet slipper piñata from Zurchers on for size! It's right on pointe!
A children's party is the perfect place for a lesson in performance arts. Teach a little ballet, stage a short scene and have the kids get involved in the beautiful nutcracker dream. Pretty gold crowns for the ballerinas and solider hats from for the boys from Cranky Cakes Shop would do well for both dress up and party favor. But I think this King Mouse mask from Magical Attic is my favorite!
Painting plain wooden nutcrackers is a fabulous way to add charm to your party decor and ornaments to you Christmas tree in the color scheme of your choice. It's also the perfect Nutcracker Ballet Party activity if you're guest list is a little older. Provide paint, a few rhinestones, a tuft of beard and you've got another potential take home favor.
Nutcracker Ballet Party Favors
I also love favors. Getting guests involved in the party is so much fun and sending them away with a little thank you for coming is rewarding as a hostess.
Ornament Favors
I've got a long list of potential ornament favors here:
The nutcracker: If you don't have time to paint or have a younger crowd these pretty pastel nutcracker ornaments are perfect as decor and a favor.
The vintage slipper: These ornaments are just stunning! The King Mouse and Clara slippers from Curly Tail Crafts would become a treasured birthday or Christmas keepsake.
The birthday girl: This ballet pointe shoe ornament from Dream Journey Co. is too sweet not to share for the ballerina birthday girl in your life! A wonderful gift idea, this ornament is dreamy and delicate just like the Nutcracker ballet.
Non-Ornament Ballet Favors
You could put ANYTHING into an organza bag this darling and it would be a hit! Love these little tutu on a ballerina bag from Favors by Girly Bows.
For a non-ornament gift, this little nutcracker is charm{ing} for any birthday girls or guest collectors for charm bracelets. From Into the Woods Charms.
Our final favor idea is more for an adult holiday party or Nutcracker ballet baby shower. These sweet ballet slipper soaps from Brown Bag Bath Bars are sure to be a hit.
Special Ballet Party Sweets
With the Sugar Plum Fairy involved there's sure to be a plethora of sweets at your Nutcracker ballet party but none more beautiful than cookies representing the fairy herself. These Sugar Plum fairy cookies by Marinold Cakes are detailed to perfection!
For the perfect ballet party cake you can't miss this toe shoe topper. The rhinestones, tutu, and ballet slippers of this pedestal cake topper by Sweet Cake Fetish is a show stopper!
A few more pretty pink slippers can round out your dessert table with these cute frosted ballerina pops and dainty ballet slipper dessert plates both from Oriental Trading.
