Teacher Gift End of Year Idea
The month of May starts the summer season and watermelon products are available in many stores. So keep an eye out as you shop to gather up a few perfect supplies.
Simple supplies
- Red plastic tubs {Dollar Tree}
- Watermelon slice paper plates {Dollar Tree}
- Paper watermelon bowls {Dollar Tree}
- Watermelon tumbler {Target Dollar Spot}
- Sparkling Watermelon juice {Trader Joe's}
- Dark chocolate watermelon stick candy {Trader Joe's}
- Mini Watermelon {Any grocery store}
- Watermelon gum {Dollar Tree or any grocery store}
- “You're One in a Melon” gift tag
Any watermelon themed item will work great in this basket. Use your imagination and see what you can find. But make sure the items are useful for your teacher so it makes for a thoughtful end of year teacher gift.
Teacher Gifts Personal Sized
The bag of dark chocolate watermelon sticks is bigger than one person needs so package up a few sticks in smaller plastic bags and add a label. I made a copy of the package, shrunk it down, and added it as the label to the smaller bags I created. This way you can gift candies to 5 or 6 people and still have them look professional.
What you need to recreate these personal candy bags:
- 3×5 Cello Bags with self seal
- Full Sheet Labels 8.5×11
- Color printer
- Large bag of candy
Teacher Gift End of Year Assembly
You want to place the largest objects in the basket first to make sure you have enough room. Add the mini watermelon and slide the plates in on the side.
If you've found cups or a tumbler, slide the drink inside the cup, then place the bowls next to it.
The bowls make for a nice place to display the smaller treat items like gum and candy. You can add in tissue paper to fill in any gaps at the end but it's not necessary.
Present Your Teacher Gift
Print up a label, add some ribbons to the side and you're ready to gift your basket to a grateful teacher! What else would you put in a watermelon basket? If I've missed any great treats please let me know.
