Classic Swim Teacher Appreciation

Swim instructors are the teachers of summer. Those glorious individuals who take your darling little ones off your hands for an hour at a time. They do all the hard work, and in a pool of all places! That deserves some love. I’m talking about some classic swim teacher appreciation!

Swim Teacher Awesomeness

The best swim instructors ever! They deserved a little thank you - Classic Swim Teacher Appreciation Gift | Halfpint Design. Teacher gifts, swimming lessons, fishy thank you.

During the summer months my kids always have swimming lessons. Ok, maybe not ALWAYS, there was that summer that I forgot to sign them up. But let’s not dwell on that one! I made up for it this year with FOUR straight weeks of daily swimming. It was amazing. My daughter started out unafraid, but definitely NOT a swimmer. Now she’s practicing an unassisted freestyle stroke with side breaths and everything! My timid son is now boldly jumping off the diving board….in the DEEP end. For THAT, dear swim teachers, you get a whole-hearted thank you!

Thank you gift idea

What says swimming more than a bunch of fish? Swedish Fish and Goldfish crackers were the obvious choice! - Classic Swim Teacher Appreciation Gift | Halfpint Design. Teacher gifts, swimming lessons, fishy thank you.

The idea began with the phrase “Thanks to you, I’m swimming like a fish,” that came to me in the shower one morning. {Why do all great ideas come at such random times!?} What could be more classic {or cliche?} than Swedish fish and Goldfish crackers? Pretty much nothing! And since they are both students, I knew snacks would be well received!

Gift bag makeover

Basic ingredients for the perfect gift...the classic white gift bag. A blank slate. - Classic Swim Teacher Appreciation Gift | Halfpint Design. Teacher gifts, swimming lessons, fishy thank you.

Now to make it cute….I started with a plain white gift bag, because these things are amazingly versatile. Since I’m a huge color nerd, I found 3 {almost} coordinating tissue paper blues in my tissue paper hoard drawer to create the look of water cascading out of the bag.

Finishing touches

My cute label and fishy tag make this the perfect swim teacher thank you gift. - Classic Swim Teacher Appreciation Gift | Halfpint Design. Teacher gifts, swimming lessons, fishy thank you.

Added a cute tag I matted in light blue and double-stick taped to the front. And the finishing touch? A little fish hang tag my kiddos could sign, cut by my Cricut Explore Air. Could that have been any easier!? Absolutely not!
