Equipment

  • rubber spatula
  • Bread knife
  • Kitchen shears

Ingredients

  • 1 Loaf fresh french bread
  • 8-12 oz Neufchatel Cream Cheese
  • 12 oz Feta cheese crumbles
  • 4 oz Sun dried tomatoes
  • 1 Fresh Basil plant

For Holiday Platter

  • 3 Cherry Tomatoes
  • 2 Large Basil Leaves
  • Bowl of olives

Instructions

French Bread Appetizer

  • Slice french bread loaf longways
  • Spread each half with softened cream cheese
  • Sprinkle generously with crumbled feta cheese
  • Using kitchen shears, or knife, snip sun dried tomatoes into small pieces {Or strips if desired} and sprinkle evenly over bread halves
  • Using knife or kitchen shears, cut fresh basil leaves into ribbons and sprinkle over bread
  • Broil in over at 400° for 3-5 minutes until feta softens and bread crisps on top

For a Holiday Platter

  • Slice and arrange on round platter into a wreath shape
  • Finish it off with a bowl of olives in the center
  • Add 3 cherry tomatoes and a couple of large basil leaves cut to look like holly leaves for the perfect holiday appetizer
