Surf Themed Party Tablescape

It’s no secret I LOVE a good table design and this surf themed party table is no exception. Make a statement while keeping your elements simple and fun!

Surf Themed Party Centerpieces

Create a simple runner using fishing net and a paper surfboard, then line your centerpieces up down the middle of the table.

My sons both love pineapples so using a tropical theme as a base for our surf party was perfect. Spray painting the tops of the pineapples gives them a festive look while making the fruit still safe to eat. Which was a MUST with my boys!

Easy floral centerpiece in pineapple pitcher for surf themed party

I’ve had this ceramic pineapple pitcher for over a decade and it made for the perfect vase of simple daisies, mums, and chamomile. {I love picking up inexpensive party blooms at Trader Joe’s.} No oversized pineapples? No problem. Use a vase you already have.

Then, add a few surfboard picks to tie in the theme. Large surfboard picks are available in my SHOP.

Easy flower centerpiece in milk bottle with surf board picks

After your main centerpiece is taken care of, use the remainder of your flowers in smaller containers, like these glass milk bottles, to fill in the space.

Custom number surfboard cupcake toppers are used again as flower picks.

Surf Themed Party Place Setting

When designing the table you want the place setting to be interesting but not overly fussy. Especially when children are involved!

Using palm leaf plates as a charger and layering the Surf’s Up dinner plates on top gives it depth and texture while also providing more stability and strength to your paper plate.

The palm leaf bowls for dessert tie the natural textures together and mimic the color of the pineapples.

Add some fun colored flatware and napkin. If you’re feeling saucy you can create your own shark bite napkins which feel right at home with the shark themed party hats!

Talk about EASY but it all comes together looking fabulously fun.

Surf Party Favor Ideas

Thanks for catching a wave with us surf party favor ideas

Favors don’t have to be complicated or expensive to be fun. Add a printable Surf Party Favor label to dress up a simple white bag. Then remember your theme and collect items as you see them.

Here are a few surf party favor suggestions the kids loved:

  • Bubbles with an optional custom party wrap
  • Shark squirter
  • Plastic Surfboard
  • Shark Tattoos
  • Sunglasses
  • Snack. We used freeze dried strawberries because my kids love them, but something tropical, ocean themed fruit snacks, fish crackers, or other nautical themed food would work great
