Monster Truck Birthday Party Smash
After a family outing to a monster truck show this winter….my son was smitten! He turned FIVE this summer {holy cow!} and Monster Truck Birthday Party Smash was a must have!
This kid loves all things that go {you can check out the Construction Party for his 3rd birthday here} and these trucks really go. They smash and crash, pop wheelies, turn donuts, and race each other for the WIN! Designing this party for him was a challenge but I love how it all came together.
Monster Truck Invitations
First things first, we always start with the invitations. These bad boys were the very first products designed for my Printables Shop and I'm thrilled that it's open.
Greet Guests
How do you greet your guests? Do you leave enough time to decorate your porch or create a welcome sign? Our house is tucked back a bit so we had a sign on the road as well as the banners on the porch.
There was no question that guests had arrived to the right place! This set up is SOOOO simple. Almost too simple to even show you but I LOVED how much of an impact these simple checked pennants made to draw you in to the front door.
I also really like having a welcome sign on, or in this case…near, the front door. I snagged an old tire with a cool white stripe and set the sign on top. Seriously easy but it has an elegant simplicity about it.
If you are wondering where you can get that awesome sign that coordinates perfectly with the Monster Truck Invitations….you're in luck! We also have a Monster Truck Printable Birthday Party Decor Package. Keep an eye out for more great printables all over this party!
Food Table Backdrop
The food table is typically the main event so I designed a simple backdrop to be the party focal point. The table runner is tire track DIY gift wrap. I love using gift wrap as a simple upgrade over inexpensive plastic table covers.
We talk about the Monster Truck menu here. But had to have a close up of this awesome Monster Truck Tire cake before we left the table. A big thanks to Emily Knowles and her mad fondant skills!
The Winner's Circle
You can't have a Monster Truck birthday party without a winner's circle! And at this party everyone's a winner! Snag the Winner's Circle sign.
Thank you tags {printed on full sheet labels} available in the Monster Truck Party Printable Package.
The AFTER Party
I love when decor can be used again long after the party is over. My kiddos have played “monster truck racing” for days! These large inflatable tires were so much fun in the backyard but they also make for a great vehicle! The “steering wheels” {really just velour covers on embroidery hoops} and ear protection made them feel like they were really in the pit! Cheers to imagination and I think I score a mom point for that one!!
Do you know a little {or big!} one obsessed with monster trucks? This Monster Truck Birthday Party was a smashing success! I love the party printables from our Shop and hope that you do too! If you throw a party using with any of our Monster Truck ideas we'd love to show off all your hard work!
