Valentine Party Food: Made into Hearts
This rates higher on the labor scale as you actually need to form, mold, or mosaic your food into the iconic Valentine shape of a heart. None of them are actually difficult however so start making your list of foods you can tackle today!
Breakfast: Heart Cinnamon rolls
Cinnamon rolls fashioned into a heart shape take a little bit of effort but are so cute and tasty! You could also cheat and snip ready made rolls with kitchen shears to create the suggestion of a heart.
Breakfast: Heart Bacon
These work well as long as you don't overcook your bacon!
Breakfast: Heart shaped pancakes or waffles
Waffles are actually super easy but you need to buy a heart shaped waffle maker, if you aren't interested in another appliance, make pancakes with batter in a squeeze bottle to create any shape you'd like.
Dinner: Heart Shaped Pizza
It may not be the most romantic of Valentine dinner ideas but it has become a family favorite. You can make it from scratch or order one from Papa Murphy's like I did.
Food Cut Out in Hearts
Heart shaped fruit on toast
Avocado toast is all the rage. Why not Nutella and strawberry toast? Or banana and almond butter toast? What a simple valentine snack idea.
Heart Shaped Caprese
Heart shaped mozzerella using a cookie cutter for caprese is another Valentine party food staple. Put together a simple caprese tonight with sliced tomatoes, mozzarella, and fresh basil drizzled with olive oil & balsamic. It's amazing and looks gorgeous fanned out on a platter.
Heart Watermelon
Keep those heart shaped cookie cutters going on a watermelon fruit salad. It looks amazing and is always delicious. The white balls here are lychees, which are similar in consistency and taste to peeled grapes.
Red Food
If in doubt, a color coordinated party table is sure to be a hit.
Red Velvet Crepes
These crepes take fancy to a whole new level!
Raspberry Macarons
These brilliantly colors cookies from Confessions of a Mommyholic are sure to brighten anyone's day.
Penne Pasta in Beet Sauce
Beets make every thing a lovely shade of red. Cook some with your pasta, or add it to your sauce for a strikingly colorful meal.
