13 Days of Halloween Inspiration

Welcome to the the 13 Days of Halloween Inspiration! Jordan from Jordan’s Easy Entertaining and I are bringing you great ideas everyday! Today is our FINAL DAY, Day 13 and all about HALLOWEEN MOVIE NIGHT! If you are just joining us you can start with our Day 1 Halloween Snacks to see all the great Halloween inspiration.

Halloween Movie Night

I have spent HOURS researching EIGHTY of the best family friend halloween movies for you. I list the year it was released, the movie rating {if applicable}, and the CommonSense Media Age rating suggestion. Because not all PG movies are created equal.

Hopefully this will eliminate any tears during your Halloween movie night this year! And you won't have to sit and check them all out! YOU'RE WELCOME!!

Because this is a Halloween movies list for FAMILIES I have only included movies rated G and PG. All PG-13 movies will be on another Halloween movie list for teens and adults. {coming soon}

Halloween Movies for Toddlers

These Halloween movies for toddlers are generally NOT Halloween movies for the whole family, as they may be a bit “young” for tweens. BUT we have watched several after trick or treating and even my bigger kids (6-8yo) loved them.

I've noted which ones are a {family favorite} and which are a {kid favorite} in our house. The difference? I enjoy watching the family favorites too!

Halloween movies kids will love for family night

All movies can be enjoyed by an older age group but I don't recommend going up for kiddos that are easily frightened. And some younger kids will be able to handle some scarier material. You know your child and will ultimately have to make the final decision.

    Thanks for sharing this amazing list!! I’m always wondering what Halloween movies are good for my kids. I have a 2 and 3 year old so they get scared easily.

      It has ALWAYS been a problem for us too. My kids aren’t very brave🤣 so sometimes I think a movie will be great and it totally freaks them out. Since then I decided to be a little more cautious. Hopefully they will love some of the things on there. I starred the ones we all love and the ones my kids love too if you need any help. There are a lot to choose from!

      Thank you! I think the girls would enjoy The Witches. We read the book then watched the movie. It’s silly but fun.
