Peacock Table Decorations for Thanksgiving
Peacock table decorations just might be my favorite thing and I'm so excited to share this Global Chic Holiday Tablescape with you today! It makes for a fun and non-traditional Thanksgiving table, but love that it could also work for a Christmas table, or beautiful dinner party. We've been cooking this one up for quite some time and I'm thrilled to introduce it along with seven other fabulous bloggers as part of the Thanksgiving Blessings Blog Tour.
If you are hopping over from Life is a Party with Marlize, it's so nice to meet you! Isn't it cool to learn about South African traditions? I'd love for you to stick around so we can get to know one another. You can learn lots more about me here. But in a nutshell I'm an interior designer who is crazy about children's parties! I've got three kiddos and love what I do everyday. Especially when it pertains to peacocks! I'm kind of obsessed!

Peacock is my Spirit Animal
When I came across this Peacock China set on Houzz it was love at first sight and my Thanksgiving table theme was born! I'm so excited to share a few of my favorite things with these Peacock Table Decorations like: copper, cobalt, and non-traditional Thanksgiving colors!
I've been crushing on copper for a while and it's the perfect complementary pairing for the teal beaded peacock velvet table runner I picked up at Pier 1 Imports. Anyone else loving all the velvet? Cause I know I am.
Copper Crush
I started out with gold chargers from Dollar Tree, which I spray painted Krylon's Copper Rose, then paired the set with faux copper cutlery from The Confetti Corner. I still can't believe these beautiful utensils aren't the real thing!
The deep cobalt wine glasses {similar} are a stunning addition made even more handsome with a DIY copper rim! Sourced from Dollar Tree {If you can believe that!} and upgraded by Martha Stewart Crafts Multi-Surface Metallic Copper Acrylic Paint. I love the contrast of copper on the cobalt.
Table Details
As a color consultant I adore non-traditional color palettes and this analogous schemed teal, blue, and purple floral is a fresh take on Thanksgiving decor. I added a few copper leaves and feather picks to finish off the centerpiece. Pomegranates fill each bowl painted with a mix of Burnt Bronze and Glamorous Gold Edible Art Paint from The Baker's Party Shop. Spray paint is amazing but when working with food, definitely use edible paints.
Another fun DIY are peacock place cards cut on my Cricut Explore Air. I love the 3D design of the tail feathers curling outward. I used a computer font as a guide and hand lettered our family names onto each tail. It's amazing the world of possibilities that open when using an electronic cutter!

I Love it! I bought these dishes at Home Depot and planned to put my table up for Thanksgiving and here I find your tablescape. I just need to get the Cobalt Glasses (and at the Dollar Store, WOW); I was going to Pier 1 where I always get my glassware. Thanks for posting. I will give you kudos. Love it!
The most gorgeous of color palettes for an elegant tablescape and I LOVE the peacock theme throughout – just stunning. And, those dishes? Just Fantastic!
So beautiful Bri!! I LOVE the Peacock plates. A Cricut is on my Christmas list as well. Your photos are stunning!
Bri, this is so gorgeous! I love your place cards and all of the beautiful shades of blue.
This is so pretty! I can imagine it being used for so many different events. The color scheme is perfect!
Those are such beautiful plates! You put so much detail into this, whoever you’re serving is going to be pretty lucky. 🙂 Nice of you to offer the menu too, I must admit I was zooming in on it to get ideas.
The colors are absolutely amazing! I especially love your little peacock name cards! I guess a Cricut will be on my Christmas wish list this year. The possibilities will be endless!! Do you use special card stock for this or can the Cricut use any paper?
