Easter Menu for a Garden Party Spring Table

Try a printable Easter Menu this year for your dinner table. I LOVE spring and Easter is such a wonderful time to get together with loved ones and celebrate! And everyone knows a beautiful table is necessary for any celebration! What? It's NOT necessary?!

Agree to disagree.

Easter Menu for Dinner

Oh alright! I guess the food is the most important part. There are so many ways you can go with Easter the dinner menu, ham being the most popular of course.

But we've begun a tradition each year going the “loaves and fishes” route:

  • Baked salmon
  • Fresh bread with olive oil
  • Scalloped potatoes
  • Asparagus
  • Fruity green salad with a piece of honeycomb because “Of the fish and honeycomb, He did surely eat”

This not only gives us a delicious meal but ties into the true meaning of Easter and celebrates the life of our Savior Jesus Christ.

Garden Party Inspired Easter Table

To make a special dinner feel even MORE special I really like to design a beautiful table.

I pulled out a linen tablecloth as my table base this year, then layered a strip of artificial grass with a barn wood plank as the runner. Do you love the rustic farmhouse feel of that old weathered wood that ACTUALLY came from an old building on my parent's farm in Idaho? How cool is that!?

I selected bright pastels, mostly because my favorite color is purple and chose to mix several shades of the gorgeous hue.

  • Grass Runner: have an 18″ strip of artificial turf cut at Home Depot!
  • Linen tablecloth

Starting with an ombre centerpiece of purple tulips. They were so bright and cheery I just couldn't pass them up! Arranged on a galvanized cake plate, I love how they cascade of their own accord! The flowers frame out these two little concrete bunnies so sweetly while the floral garland winds in and out of everything.

Bunnies, cake plate, garland and tulips all from Michaels!

Easter Table Details

I'm a huge fan of using natural elements, or things that LOOK natural! These mossy rocks, bird nests, and wooden eggs support the garden party feeling. I added in a few paper butterflies appearing ready to take flight to soften the table and add a little more depth. {You can find more butterfly ideas here.}

Ceramic bunny bowl filled with jelly beans

This serving bowl holds a surprise as you eat down the jelly beans to reveal this sweet little bunny. He looks pretty content knee deep in sweets!

The frilly pink chargers break up the purple just a touch and set a beautiful foundation for the floral plates. Simple purple napkins anchor heavy silverware, and a lavender goblet completes the collection. Give them a little something sweet with a chocolate butterscotch bird nest favor. Edible favors are always my favorite!

Easter Goblet DIY

Vintage colored glass is gorgeous and is becoming increasingly popular for party styling. But what to do when your budget doesn't include new glasses? You PAINT the ones you already have! Clear school glue mixed with a little acrylic paint brushed on the OUTSIDE of each glass and viola! We can pretend they are super fancy!

The glue will of course wash off the glasses eventually, AND it's not safe to drink from the rim, so provide some straws! It's not a permanent Easter solution but does make for a fun short term event detail!

Speaking of details, I LOVE menus for fancy dinners. Did you see the peacock menu for Thanksgiving? It was so pretty! Because I love food I've created an editable Easter Menu for you too! Easter Menu is available in the shop.

We can't forget our bunny place cards! Another fancy occasion must have. I especially love the cute pom pom tail! These were cut using my Cricut Explore Air 2 using a rabbit file from the Design Space Library.

Just type up the names, use the print and cut option, then glue on a fluffy white tail.

Bri – First of all, I have never seen a center piece foundation like yours with the turf and the wood plank. That is some serious creativity! And clearly, that can be used year-round – especially the board. It’s a great anchor and statement piece. I learned something new – I did not know you could paint glasses-definitely tucking that away for future reference! I love the birds nests and eggs sitting on candleholders; I am going to scoop the post-Easter sales and try and find some like that! And those ombre tulips are gorgeous! I do remember your peacock menu for Thanksgiving ! Just like that one, your Easter table is full of color and spirit!

First, Bri, thank you for your kind reference to my site at the beginning…I am honored, You packed in the details! So many elements of inspiration. I love the whole centerpiece with the grass and wood and the special touch of it being a memory for your family. The range in heights and texture makes it so interesting to look at and the natural elements bring the outdoors of Spring indoors to welcome us while it is still a bit cool out for most. Your painted glasses are gorgeous and the fact that you chose to implement the Pantone color of the year was genius. Lastly, those name cards and menu make the most special and sweet personal touch, LOVE everything!!!!

What a beautiful table. I really like your idea of the plank, especially since it came from your parents farm. The details you have thought of are so special and I totally adore the bowl with the bunny in it.
