Football Party Foods – Snack Stadium DIY
SO many of the football snack stadiums are ridiculously complicated and took the person HOURS of work to put together. I've got 3 kids and a job and NO TIME for all of that. So I decided to find a better way. An EASIER way to put together a snack stadium DIY that anyone could do with minimal effort and very low cost.
Are you ready!?

Assemble Football Snack Stadium
Once your boxes are all put together, tape your printable football field down in the location you plan to serve your football party foods.
Next, lay out your snack trays on each side and tape/staple them together on the very top edge, this will keep them from sliding around as you add the food. For added measure you can add a roll of packing tape to the bottom of each piece to keep them all in place.
Line any containers will wax paper as desired. If you'd like, cut 12 small pieces of wax paper so all the snack trays are protected. Then you don't have to worry about the stadium getting ruined once the food is added.
Do you see how easy that was!? I know it's not going to win any architectural model awards but it looks like a stadium, works perfectly well, and is SO MUCH EASIER than trying to create something more structural.
Football Party Foods – Menu
Now that your Football Snack Stadium is ready to go, the hardest part is deciding which foods you'll serve. As I mentioned before, most “football party” foods are typically fatty, fried, and not so good for you. So today we're going to explore a Football Party foods menu that's on the healthier side:
- Fresh sandwich bar
- “Healthy” Buffalo Chicken Dip
- BBQ Little Smokies
- French Onion Dip & Chips
- Football Charcuterie “Field”
Football Fruits and Veggies
While adding fruits and veggies to the football field charcuterie board, focus on GREEN veggies then add in some red and blue berries with orange peppers and red tomatoes for color.
You can easily tailor this to the team colors too.
Cheeses are a great addition to the fruits and veggies, so choose your favorites. We selected a round of Brie Cheese, Football shaped cheddar, and slices of fresh mozzarella with basil.
To create the Football Brie:
- Place Brie in freezer for 10-15 minutes
- Cut the top layer of rind with a football cutter and peel away
- Fill in space with raspberry jam
- Draw on football laces with Greek yogurt in ziploc bag with corner tip cut like a piping bag
Football Party Foods – Fresh Sandwich Bar
Bread: To make the perfect sandwich spread you need the perfect bread. Bolillos are crusty, football-shaped Mexican bread rolls that I highly recommend!
Meat: Next, you'll need meat – turkey and ham are great choices. Add a roast beef option if your family loves it.
Cheese: Cheeses are optional but most people love it. We offered sliced cheddar, havarti, and pepper-jack. Other great options are sliced provolone and swiss.
Sandwich Topping Options:
- Leaf lettuce
- Sliced tomatoes
- Pickles
- Onions
- Red pepper slices
- Cucumbers
- Avocado slices
- Alfalfa Sprouts
- Pepperoncinis
Sandwich Condiment Options:
- Mayonaise
- Yellow Mustard
- Stone Ground Mustard
- Honey Mustard
- Hummus
- BBQ Sauce
- Cream Cheese & Cranberry Sauce
- Ranch Dressing
- Oil & Vinegar
Football Party Foods – Chips and Dips
The humble chip has a starring role in most Super Bowl parties. Try to upgrade your chip experience by serving “Food Should Taste Good” Multigrain Tortilla Chips instead of the more fatty potato chips. Then provide a couple kinds of salsa and maybe a little queso if you're feeling saucy.
You can get the Stadium Chip and Dip tray here.
It's still okay to serve French Onion Dip with a small bowl of Ruffles for the die hards though. 🤣
You can get the 3-crock event slow cooker here.
Poppables are another fun munchie that also happen to be football shaped. And don't forget your printable chalkboard themed Football food labels.
Football Party Foods – Hot Appetizers
If you have a multi-mini-crock server it's perfect for hot appetizers like this Healthier Buffalo Chicken Dip Oven Recipe. Offer a few slices of french bread, celery sticks, and those tortilla chips to eat this with. I'm not a big fan of spicy so this less hot version is SO yummy and will make just about everyone happy. You can get the recipe here: Buffalo Chicken Dip in the Oven
Little smokies are another fan favorite. Not healthy in the least however so if you're trying to stay healthy I'd skip this one. But I think my family might revolt if I did. Super Bowl Sunday is the ONLY day I ever serve them.
Stir up a batch of Lil Smokies with enough BBQ Sauce to coat them well. Then let them heat up nice and toasty.
Football Party Serving Ware
There are so many fun designs of paper goods for football parties. I have several sets I mix and match every year. But I do really love the football themed wooden utensils and football glasses {from Dollar Tree}.
Easy Football Party Punch
When you've got to feed and water a crowd having a drink dispenser with family friendly punch comes in really handy! This one is SUPER easy……are you ready? This dispenser is a similar style and holds 2.4 gallons of liquid
- Cranberry Punch: 1 part Cran-raspberry juice with 2 parts Ginger Ale
But I also like to have a beverage trough out with bottled water, San Pelligrino, and Coke. I have to have a few of them available or my friends won't come! Offer a few fun options for dirty Coke's as well.
- Dirty Coke: Coke + Coconut syrup + Half & Half
Not So Healthy Football Desserts
I focused so much on making the food healthier that I let the desserts slide for sure! None of these are healthy options. But they were all pretty delicious. And there's no shame in store bought treats, especially if you upgrade them a little.
Check your local grocery store to see if they have any fancy fun football options for the Super Bowl.
Dessert options:
- Reece's Peanut Butter Footballs {I was disappointed to note that they don't actually have the laces cut out of the chocolate like it shows on the package}
- Brownies {homemade or store bought} cut out with a Football cookie cutter
- Frosted brownies
- Glazed Football cookies {from local bakery}
- Store Bought lemon bars
Get the Look:
Decorate any simple dessert item using a football themed cookie cutter and powdered sugar OR cocoa power, depending, of course, on the type of dessert.
Football Party Decor
You can dress up your house even if you don't have a nice backdrop wall. Create a balloon garland to hang over your cupboard doors then add a “Game Day” balloon banner.
Get the Look:
- Football Balloon Garland Kit including 2 football Mylars
- Game Day Balloons to make banner {letters sold separately, create any phrase you'd like}
It's such a simple way to be festive and as long as you've gotten everything you'll need out of the cupboards, it's a great way to accentuate the buffet table on the kitchen island.
Use command strip hooks on your walls, then attach your balloon garland with fishing line and hang your letters.
If you DO have a backdrop wall you can add some fabric and a large poster to really make an impact. You can see the rest of this chalkboard themed party decor here: Football Party Decor – Big Game Kick Off
