It doesn't take a lot to make these pretties. You are welcome to make the dough, but when pressed for time the crescent dough sheets come in really handy!
- Crescent dough sheets
- Brie cheese wedge
- Cranberry sauce with whole cranberries {or lingonberry jam}
- Rosemary sprigs
- Muffin Tins
- Pizza cutting wheel
Step 1: Cut The Dough
Roll out the crescent dough sheet onto a cutting board and use the pizza cutter to create 3″ squares. I got 20 pieces from a single sheet.
Step 2: Place Dough and Cheese
After they are all cut, place a square of dough into each hole. Top with a 1-1/2″ square of thick cut brie cheese.
Step 3: Top With Cranberries
We love making our own cranberry sauce but this party appetizer needed to be quick and easy so I turned to a can of whole cranberry sauce. But I've also used Lingonberry jam {from IKEA of course!} and they are equally delicious!
Step 4: Add Rosemary Sprig and Bake
Not everyone in my family loves rosemary {they are crazy, I know!} so I left some without a sprig of fresh rosemary but it's such a lovely flavor combination that I warn you against leaving them off altogether. Plus don't you love how festive the red and green look together!?
Bake according approx 14 minutes, until cheese is melted and dough is golden brown.
Serve and Enjoy Your Cranberry Brie Tarts!
One these cranberry brie tarts are out of the oven I promise they will move quickly so you might want to make a couple pans. Best when served warm but still delicious at room temperature so you aren't having to worry about them last minute. If you know anyone who loves brie like I do, go ahead and send them the link.

Got to say it, AMAZING!!! Most of my family are picky, extremely picky eaters.. But these everyone wanted more, even my better cook then me mother…. lol.. She had to have the recipe.. When she heard how easy these are, but look pastry shop made instead, she couldn’t believe it.. So I had to make another batch just to prove it and those went faster then the first ones.. So thank you from the Carroll-Walters familys…
