Car Valentine Printable for Awesome School Parties
A Car Valentine Printable? Yep! You heard me right. Valentine's is a wonderful holiday. I love the emphasis on kindness and love. But I don't love all the CANDY! In a quest for non-candy valentine's my kids can take to their class Valentine party I came up with a few fun transportation based ideas.
Car Valentine Supplies
- Toy Cars: I got mine from Dollar Tree
- Road tape: Target Dollar Spot
- Mini hole punch
- Baker's Twine: Dollar Tree has packs of 3 random colors
- Scissors
- Rotary Paper Trimmer
- Car Valentine Printable: DOWNLOAD HERE
Car Valentine Instructions
There are a few steps to put these together but they are all simple and this car valentine is totally worth it!
Step 1: Print Car Valentine Printable
Print page 2 of the Car Valentine printable onto card stock. Download available in the Halfpint Design Printable Library. All my VIP's {Very important Party-people} have access to the library and I would love for you to join us if you aren't already!
DO NOT cut down the center yet. Only cut across so you have 1 “wheelie” and 1 “roll” in each strip.
Step 2: Add Tape
If you're like me, you buy this cute road tape every time you see it at Target's Dollar Spot! If I'm honest, I created this printable basically as an excuse to FINALLY use some of it!
Cut a strip of tape longer than the paper. With my perfectionism in high gear, I tried centering the starting lines so the car fit between them. But if that stresses you out, for sure no one will notice but you! {and maybe me, but I promise I won't judge!}
Step 3: Trim Tape
Now use your scissors to trim the tape off the edges. Or if you're getting down and dirty, just fold them over and stick them to the back! ?It'll save you a few seconds and keep your scissors from getting sticky. Then use your rotary paper trimmer to cut them in half. Or your scissors if you don't have one, but if you don't I'm sad for you. I use mine multiple times a day!
Step 4: Punch Holes
Mini hole punches are my favorite thing. Well, okay, ONE of my favorite things. I get pretty excited about creative tools! If you ever want to buy me a gift here's a clue! You just need a hole on either side of your vehicle.
You might want to test and see how your particular car stays on. Sometimes having the holes closer together is better, sometimes having them further was better for the larger cars.
THIS is also the time to have your little one add their signature. If they are too small I usually will have them trace the first letter of their name that I draw with a highlighter. And I'll write the full name later. But it's great practice and they feel so proud!
Step 5: Tie Them On
Use the bakers twin in the desired color to tie the cars on. Wrap the twine around a couple times and tie it up on top with a bow. WHERE on the car is the best place to tie is another item you'll want to test. Tying around the front or back axel works well to keep them in place but you can't see the cute bow very well. So I ended up using some glue dots on the bottom just to keep them in place and kept the cute bow! {ugh…perfectionist alert}
Tire Track Option
Now if you're worried about not finding the perfect “road” tape, I've got you covered too. I've also added a tire track version to the Car Valentine printable which saves you a few steps. I'm still in love with these tire tracks from our Monster Truck party. You can pick up tire track gift wrap too!
Signed, Sealed, now Deliver!
After they are all tied on you're ready to share! My son had such a fun time handing these out in class last year. I'm sure your child will too! Be sure to snag these car valentine printable options and simplify your class Valentine's gifts! I'd love to see how it goes if you try this one for yourself.

I am so sorry! Thank you so much for letting me know. I just tried the download myself and the email ended up in the junk folder. But I’ll get these to you ASAP. Thanks for your patience.
